ISSUE:

Its weekly inflow of credit balance accounts exceeded their ability to process and resolve accounts, leading to an increase in their total credit balance each week. The health system estimated that they would need to hire 50 FTEs over 12 months to manually address the backlog and would need to keep this staff to handle ongoing credit balance inflow.

SOLUTION:
Apollo Data Technologies' hosted and managed Credit Balance Management Solution was utilized to automate identification and root-cause categorization of the health system's credit backlog. In addition, the solution proactively flagged, categorized, and offered recommended resolution for new credit balance accounts on a daily basis.

Apollo’s web-based work-driver screens provided the health system’s credit analysts with the account level detail needed to more effectively research and resolve credit balance accounts, resulting in an increase in staff productivity.
